Der LSD March, c'est le titre sur lequel s'achève l'album UFO (1970) du trio kraut' Guru Guru.
C'est aussi le nom d'un duo psych' japonais. Du trio germanique et son objet volant,
Julian Cope écrit, dans Krautrocksampler, "ce n'est pas vraiment la peine de
décrire chaque morceau dans la mesure où ils existent sur une planète qui leur
est particulière mais je vais tout de même essayer." Moi aussi. Il semblerait que sur l'unique
morceau (39'24) qui se déploie tout au long du premier cd (nikuta no tubomi est un
double cd, édité à 500 ex.), les japonais construisent, et le vaisseau spatial,et les
chemins, qui vont leur permettre de rejoindre la planète du trio. Lorsqu'ils la découvrent,
la nuit vient de tomber. Harassés par leur voyage, ils s'endorment mais sont réveillés très
tôt par les cloches matinales du monastère voisin (aubade, premier morceau du second cd).
Ils se remettent alors en route et croisent un éléphant qui, pressé, affolé par l'apesanteur,
craignant de s'envoler et disparaître dans les espaces infinis, leur demande de l'aide.
Ce que nos deux amis font en l'attachant à une pierre qui, "malheureusement", s'avère être
la planète tout entière. Le poids de l'éléphant, ainsi relié, freine désormais considérablement
la course de la planète. Elle risque à tout moment de s'arrêter. Pendant que l'éléphant, reconnaissant,
leur adresse des messages d'amour, nos japonais voyageurs imaginent que la solution passe par
la convocation, à une danse immobile, de tous les habitants de la planète. Dont ils apprendront ainsi
le nombre exact : 1.978
Ce n'est sans doute (et même certainement) pas l'histoire véritable mais, hé, j'ai essayé.

Der LSD March, it is a title track ending the album "UFO" (1970) by the kraut trio Guru Guru.
It is also the name of a japanese psych' duo. Of the german trio and his flying object,
Julian Cope, in Krautrocksampler, wrote "there's no point in describing each track as
they exist on a planet of their own making, but I'll try in any case". Me too.
It would seem that on the only piece (39 ' 24) which fans out throughout the first cd
("nikuta no tubomi" is a double cd, edited in 500 ex.), the two Japanese are building, and
the spaceship, and the ways, that are going to allow them to join the planet of the trio.
When they discover it, dimension has changed and the night has just fallen. So we jump in
cd two. Exhausted by their trip, they fall asleep but are very early woken up by the morning
bells of the neighbouring monastery (aubade, first track, second cd).
They then set off again and cross an elephant who, pressed, thrown into panic by weightlessness,
afraid of flying off and disappearing in the infinite areas, asks them for help. What our two
friends make by tying him to a stone which, "unfortunately ", proves to be the very whole planet.
The elephant's weight brakes considerably and consequently the running of the planet. It threatens
any time to stop. While the grateful elephant sends them messages of love, our Japanese passengers
imagine that the solution passes by calling together, for a motionless dance, all inhabitants of the
planet. The precise number of which they will learn so: 1.978
Probably and certainly, not the true story but, hey, I tried.
