To tell how something is important, sometimes photographs - a set of snapshots - speak louder than words. Peter Becker, from Eyeless in Gaza, has agreed to answer the four questions in the wind.
1. do you remember your first musical emotion ?
No, I don’t remember because I was only 2 years old, but I was apparently delighted at turning saucepans upside down and hitting them with a wooden spoon!
2. how did you first get interested in music ?
listening to the radio; there is a world of music out there.
3. could you tell us a bit about your influences and musical tastes ?
I was influenced by the British answer to American rock & roll; Skiffle. Later on the Beatles had a huge influence. After that there was a lot of looking back to the Blues and then forward into experimental musics.
4. do you have a 'bedside record', sort of the one you're never tired to listen again and again ?
“I Sing The Body Electric - Weather Report” particularly ‘Unknown Soldier’

1. te souviens-tu de ta première émotion musicale ?
Non. Aucun souvenir parce que j'étais âgé de seulement 2 ans, mais il semble que j'étais ravi de retourner les casseroles et de taper dessus avec une cuillère en bois
2. comment t'es-tu interessé à la musique ?
En écoutant la radio ; il y a tout un univers musical à découvrir par là-bas.
3.peux tu nous en dire un peu sur tes influences et tes goûts en matière de musique ?
J'ai été influencé par le skiffle : la réponse britannique au rock'n'roll américain. Plus tard, les Beatles ont eu une influence énorme. Après quoi, je me suis pas mal tourné vers le blues et, par la suite, vers les musiques expérimentales.
4. as tu un 'disque de chevet', le genre que tu écoutes encore et encore ?
Weather Report. I sing the body electric". En particulier "unknown soldier".
