La rivière, tu ne la vois pas tout de suite. Tu entends d'abord ses murmures. Là-bas, derrière la rangée d'arbres dont se joue le soleil de l'été qui s'en va. La rivière tu ne la vois pas encore. Seulement le ponton et la barque que tu devines, au bruit, amarrée. Le gars, lui, il est là. Assis. Il attend. Il fume une clope. Tu ne vois que son dos. Sa gueule d'hiver, tu as bien le temps de la voir. Un jour. Aujourd'hui, ce n'est pas pour toi qu'il a préparé le filet. Dans la barque. C'est pour lui. Lui, le Soleil. Tout à l'heure, avant qu'il ne touche l'horizon, il montera dans la barque. Il ramera. Il ramera et, au moment où ses rayons toucheront l'eau, dans un geste ample, il lancera son filet.
