Eparpillés sur la moquette, gisaient, incroyablement inertes, tous
ces cds. Pourquoi ai je, d'abord, ramassé celui, "Meet me at midnite"
de Maria Muldaur plutôt qu'un autre ? et l'ayant placé dans le lecteur
cd, pourquoi directement suis je allé au dernier titre ? Peut être était
ce pour que je tombe sur ces disques, restés, oubliés dans le chargeur
"ascensión", petite merveille six titres de Cathy Rivers, (Tucson, Arizona).
et surtout le premier de Bethany and Rufus étonnant duo magique que forment
Bethany Yarrow (voix) et Rufus Cappadocia (violoncelle). Ensemble,
ils réarrangent chansons traditionnelles et reprises (Phil Ochs, Jesse Winchester)
d'une façon telle qu'ils rendent à ces chansons leur pouvoir mystérieux.

Why did I initially pick up that Maria Muldaur's "Meet me At midnite"
rather than another ? and having put it in the Cd player, why directly I
went to the last track ? perhaps this was so that I fall on this six-tracks
wonder, remained, forgotten in the loader : Cathy Rivers "ascensión"
but also Bethany and Rufus, the first album of this astonishing and
marvellous duet formed by Bethany Yarrow and Rufus Cappadocia, voice and cello.
Together, they magically arranged traditionals and covers (Phil Ochs, Jesse Winchester...)
in such a way they gave back their mysterious power to these songs.
