Bisbee, Arizona. Cela a duré tout juste un siècle. De 1877 à 1975. L'exploitation du gisement de cuivre. Copper Queen Mine, ça s'appelait ; ça s'appelle toujours mais aujourd'hui, équipés et casqués, on la visite. Dans un vieux train de mine restauré. C'est une mine musée.
Tombstone. 8 mars 1884. Jour de pendaison. Cinq types. Des bandits. William E. Delaney. Daniel Dowd. James “Tex” Howard. Dan “Yorky” Kelly. Omer "Red" Sample.
Ikhtonia city,2009. Debut juin. Premiers signes de l'été en Ikhtonie. Sur la pochette du disque qu'il tient, "Drifter's sympathy", sixième album d'Holy Sons (le "groupe" d'Emil Amos - Grails/Om), les cinq noms figurent.
Bisbee,1883. Premiers jours de décembre. Jour de paie chez les mineurs, rumeur chez les voleurs. 7000 dollars se trouveraient, sécurisés, dans le magasin Goldwater & Castaneda. Rue principale. A sept heures,en début de soirée, cinq hommes, masqués, entrent dans le magasin. Le butin est maigre. Toute la paie n'y est pas. Ils raflent alors tout ce qu'ils peuvent dans le magasin. Dehors, une fusillade éclate. Quatre morts. Avec l'aide d'un sixième personnage, John Heath, les cinq hommes parviennent à s'enfuir et se cacher quelque temps. Rapidement, ils sont repris. Leur "bienfaiteur" aussi. Le procès a lieu, à Tombstone, en février. Cinq pendaisons et un emprisonnement à vie (John Heath). Cette dernière peine exaspère les mineurs qui font le siège de la prison, s'emparent d'Heath et le pendent au coin de First et Toughnut street.
Tombstone. 8 mars 1884. Jour de pendaison. Les invitations sont lancées, des estrades montées et des billets vendus. Le spectacle peut commencer. C'est compter sans Nellie Cashman, "l'ange des mineurs", qui, à l'aube, refusant le carnaval, détruit les gradins. L'exécution n'aura que peu de spectateurs. La mort n'est pas carnaval...
Ikhtonia city. 2009. 5 juin. Minuit. Demain est un autre jour. Il glissera le dvd de "Cinq cartes à abattre" dans le lecteur.

Bisbee, Arizona. It lasted hardly a century. From 1877 till 1975. Copper's lode mining. Copper Queen Mine is the name; this is always, but today, slickered, helmeted and head-lamped, they visit. In an old restored mine train. It is a museum mine.

Ikhtoniacity, 2009. Early June. First signs of summer in Ikhtonia. On the album cover he holds, "Drifter's sympathy", Holy Sons' 6th I believe, (Emil Amos from Grails/Om), the five names appear.
Bisbee, 1883. Early December. Pay day among miners, rumor among thieves. 7000 dollars would be, safely,locked inside the Goldwater & Castaneda store. On Main Street.
7.a.m. five masked men get into the store. The loot's scanty. The whole payroll is not there. They then sweep everything they can in the store. Outside, gunfire broke out. Four dead. With the help of a sixth character, John Heath, the five men were able to escape and hide for a while. Quickly, they are taken back. Their "benefactor" as well. The trial takes place in Tombstone, in February. Five hangings and a lifelong imprisonment in Yuma (John Heath). This last sentence infuriates the miners who break into jail, seize Heath and hang him on the corner of First and Toughnut street.

That is to count without Nellie Cashman "Angel of miners", who, at dawn, refusing the circus, destroyed the stands. The execution will have only a few viewers. Death is no carnival...
