Où il est encore question d'instrumentaux alors qu'au départ, j'écoutais une compilation
"Deeded to itself " que je venais de recevoir d'un jeune label Thor's rubber hammer,
compilation dédiée à la scène bruitiste d'Athens, Géorgie. L'Athens de REM, oui...
Justement, REM qui, sur cette compilation, passe sous les fourches caustiques des
deux sorciers de Long Legged Woman pour un shamanicoïde "It's The End Of The World
(And We Didn't Know It)" qui, au passage, nous prend dans son sortilège et nous dépose,
perdus ( ou du moins le croyons nous), aux portes d'un monde où la parole est rare. Celui de
Chartreuse.
Sur "Summit", son EP personnel, Chartreuse nous propose l'évocation d'un sommet depuis
les quatre points cardinaux. Quatre morceaux donc. Le jeu consistera pour l'auditeur, après
audition, d'en reconstruire une vision globale, en intégrant l'idée que les vues du nord et de
l'est ont, à quelques secondes, une durée quasi-identique. Que la plus longue pièce est la
vue de l'ouest, la plus courte étant celle du sud.

Where it is still matter of instrumental while, at first, I listened to a compilation
"Deeded to itself " that I had received from a young label "Thor' s rubber hammer'',
a compilation dedicated to the noise scene of Athens, Georgia. The REM's Athens,
yes... Precisely, REM who passes, on this compilation, under the caustic pitchforks of
Long Legged Woman's two wizards for a shamanicoïde "It' s The End Of The World
(And We Didn' t Know It) " which takes us in its bewitching spell and deposits us, lost (or
at least we believe it), near a world where word is rare. Chartreuse's world.
On "Summit", his personal EP, Chartreuse offers us the evocation of a summit since
the four cardinal points. Four pieces therefore. Game will consist for the listeners, after
audition, to rebuild the total vision, by inserting idea that the views of the north and east
have, by some seconds, an almost identical length. That the longest track is the western
view, the shortest the southern.
