Visiblement, elle ne s'attendait pas à ce que, sortant de ma voiture,
je lui demande si elle avait la monnaie sur deux euros. Sinon, elle
aurait trouvé plus facilement son porte-monnaie et n'aurait pas une
bonne partie du contenu de son sac entre les dents ou sous le menton.
Le porte-monnaie trouvé, il s'agissait désormais de savoir si toutes ces
petite pièces rouges et jaunes finiraient par faire mes deux euros.
Elle possédait bien deux pièces d'un euro mais comptait utiliser
l'une d'elles pour régler son propre stationnement. D'un autre côté,
elle avait aussi deux pièces de deux euros et moi un billet de cinq.
La solution était proche quand il se mit à pleuvoir. Ni elle, ni moi
n'avions de parapluies. Nul abri non plus. Nous nous sommes alors
précipités dans nos voitures respectives, avons attendu que la pluie
cesse et jamais ne nous sommes revus... J'ai gardé le billet de
cinq euros. Relique d'un paradis perdu.

Obviously, she didn't expect that, outgoing of my car, I ask her if

her purse more easily and wouldn't have a good part of the contents
of her bag between the teeth or under her chin.
Once the purse found, would all these small red and yellow coins
end up making my two euros ?
Of course, she had two one-euro pieces but she intended to use one
of them to pay her own parking. She also had two two-euros pieces.
I had myself a five-euros note. The solution was near when it started
to rain. Neither her, nor I had umbrellas. No shelter either. We then
went up in our respective cars, waited until the rain ceases and we
never met again... I kept the five-euros note. Relic of a lost paradise.
