Baudelaire m'attendait. Il était assis. A l'arrêt d'autobus.
La Reine Victoria aussi. M'attendait. Sur l'autre trottoir.
Avec sa copine Sissi. Qui avait, à l'évidence, les traits de Romy Schneider.
C'était sa mère, Magda, qui faisait la Victoria.
Pouvaient toujours m'attendre. J'étais encore dans mon lit. Pas loin de me réveiller.
C'est en tout cas l'impression que j'avais.
La rue faisait deux kilomètres et menait à un terrain en friches où il
y aura plus tard un parc à thèmes. Tous les 300 mètres, un quintette
d'accordéonistes jouait. Purple haze je crois bien...
D'attendre Baudelaire en a eu marre. Heureusement, le bus est arrivé.
En y entrant, il a crié : "Avalanche, veux-tu m'emporter dans ta chute?"
Alors seulement, je me suis réveillé.
Ou l'ai je cru ?
Parce qu'il y avait bien un quintette qui jouait dans la chambre.
Sans accordéons. A la place, des orgues, des cloches, cordes et mandolines...
Et un choeur à quatre voix qui chantait comme on se noit...
Avalanche, veux-tu m'emporter dans ta chute ?

Baudelaire awaited me. He sat there. At the bus stop.
