Il arrivait que Stella Brooks coupe les cheveux de Brando ou Tennessee Williams. Lequel note dans ses mémoires :
"Nous étions allés, Santo et moi, dans une boite de nuit de Provincetown, connue sous le nom d'Atlantic House.
La vedette y était Stella Brooks qui fut l'une des première grandes chanteuses de jazz et, pour qui j'éprouvais
une grande tendresse..."

Stella Brooks used to cut Brando’s hair and Tennessee Williams hair. Williams wrote in his Memoirs :
"Santo and I had gone to a night spot in Provincetown known as the Atlantic House. The entertainer there was Stella Brooks,
who was one of the early, great jazzsingers, and I had a great fondness for her..."
Tenderness shared, dear Leonora. "I always loved to be around Stella, she makes me feel better no matter what..." She said.
