Je suis toujours aussi enrhumé. Nez bouché. Cerveau atteint. Seules les oreilles fonctionnent encore
à peu près correctement si j'en crois un test qui traîne ici ou là sur la toile. Ecriture service minimum
donc. J'ai reçu deux disques ce matin "Fear not, distant lover" de Peasant (cf billet du 01/11 et
l'excellent et frais kaleidoscope eyes) que je me promettais d'écouter avant minuit mais l'autre disque, au nom de cité engloutie, Ys de Joanna Newsom, m'a frappé comme la foudre, un premier éclair
déclenché à 3 minutes 54 ou 55 suivi d'une deuxième salve à 7'34 qui, cette fois, touche en plein coeur, sur
"only skin", un morceau qui en dure près de 17 et en a retardé l'audition. Dans l'après-midi, face à ma situation
nasale gagnant les alentours du cerveau, ignorant ce qui surviendrait plus tard, à 21h37, j'avais laissé dérouler la
cassette n°17, celle-là même qui contenait le "crazy man crazy" d'avant-hier. En l'écoutant me suis souvenu
qu'il s'agissait d'une mixtape faite "maison" qui m'avait été offerte en même temps que le livre de Nick Tosches "Héros oubliés du
rock'n'roll".

find here or there on the net. Thus minimum writing service. This morning, I received two records, Peasant's “Fear not,
distant lover” (cf my 11/01 post and on excellent and fresh kaleidoscope eyes blog) I promised myself to listen before midnight
but the other record, named after a legendary underwater city, Joanna Newsom's Ys, struck me like the lightning, first flash
at 3 minutes 54 or 55 followed-up by a second salvo at 7' 34. This time, the depths of my heart, on "Only skin", a piece lasting nearly seventeen min. were touched and the Peasant's audition delayed.. Drawn game. Early in the afternoon,
as my nasal situation gained the neighbourhoods of the brain, ignoring what would occur later, at 21h37, I let tape n°17
that same one which contained the “crazy man crazy” of last tuesday rolling. While listening to it, remembered I that it was an
homemade mixtape offered to me some years ago, with Nick Tosches book "Unsung heroes of rock'n' roll”..
